The US Columbia River Basin Current Wildlife-Habitat Types grid was created by the Northwest Habitat Institute to represent Columbia River Basin wildlife-habitats circa 1999. Wildlife-Habitat types were mapped for all land and water features in the United States portion of the Columbia River Basin. This 1:100,000 scale data was derived from the Northwest Habitat Institute's Oregon and Washington Current Wildlife-Habitat Types grids and US Biological Service GAP Analysis Program vegetation maps for Idaho and CRB areas in Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. National Wetlands Inventory data and USGS digital elevation models were also used to create this grid.
Purpose:
Created for the Northwest Power Planning Council's (NWPPC) Fish and Wildlife 2000 program.
