Abstract:
The Oregon Current Wildlife-Habitat Types grid was created by the Northwest Habitat Institute. Wildlife-Habitat types were mapped for all land and coastal areas of Oregon. This 1:100,000 scale data was derived from the Northwest Habitat Institute's Oregon Vegetation: Landscape-Level Cover Types map which was created from Landsat TM imagery in conjunction with other ancillary data and extensive field mapping.
Purpose:
This grid was created for the Wildlife-Habitat Relationships in Oregon and Washington (Johnson, D. H. and T. A. O'Neil, Oregon State University Press, 2001) book and CD-ROM.
